Walk in ready on day one

School teaches you to pass boards. Your first job asks for more: a full schedule of 1‑hour appointments, perio diagnosis, coding and conversations about treatment. First 90 Days RDH is for new graduates and anyone starting a new hygiene job.

What it will cover

  • Running a 1-hour appointment

    Where the minutes go, from medical history to the next visit, and how to catch up when you fall behind.

  • Perio staging and grading

    Stage and grade real‑looking cases with the 2017 classification, then decide what care they need.

  • CDT coding

    Prophylaxis or periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing by quadrant, and full mouth debridement: which code fits, and why.

  • Case acceptance

    Explain why a patient needs scaling and root planing so they understand it and say yes.

  • Charting and notes

    Clear, complete notes that protect you and the patient.

  • Software and your first job

    The everyday screens in common practice software, plus interviews and your first weeks in a new office.

How you'll practice

Every lesson will be 5 minutes or less and end with something you do.

  • AI practice conversations

    Talk with an AI patient who pushes back, then see the conversation scored. This runs today in our Accelerated Front Office course.

  • Branching cases

    Choose what to do next with a patient and see where it leads.

  • Timed appointment drills

    Put the steps of a 1‑hour appointment in order against the clock.

  • Coding drills

    Short sets of cases to code, with the reason for each answer.

Hiring a new hygienist?

We're planning First 90 Days RDH as part of the hygiene track in Accelerated Dental Training, where the dentist signs off each skill and gets a monthly report on progress.
